Mason is Here

Hey, I have met up with Mason now, we'll be starting a new blog for the duration of our travels together. Here is a recap of the past few weeks.
Kosuke had his birthday on the 14th of September. This is the cake we had for him after dinner.
Here we have Takaaki lighting the candles.

Otoosan setting up the camera for the group photograph.
The cake, the writing reads : Kosuke san, otanzoubi, omedetou!! or Kosuke, Happy Birthday!!
The full moon on the full moon festival.

A view of Kyoto that I got after walking up a random mountain for an hour. Kyoto Tower on the left.
Takaaki, the house husband. He makes a mean Vermont Curry

The rural town of Ritto at night.
Making us all dinner, thanks Takaaki. That is Kunihiro on the right.
Bringing money to Takaaki, interesting because it was given to him by the previous owner when he had gone out of business.

Going to the graveyard to honor the ancestors.

Wicked in Japan.

I taught these students how to make American Pancakes. I also taught about five other classes the same thing that week.

This is Aoi, my friend's pen pal. She lives close to Ritto so we met up.

In Tokyo, the smallest lady I have ever met, 3 feet even.
Mason is here! Flossing his teeth, what a good kid.

Flossing his tongue, what a good kid.

Saying goodbye to my beard.
One last time.
Mason was overwhelmed by the lights.
Mason was overwhelmed by the pretty Japanese girl.

Staying clean.

Sean!
it looks like you're having a great time.
tomorrow is the start of St. J v. LI weekend, and I'm going to have to go without you!
It just won't be the same wearing grandpa's jacket and your shoes.
